What is the most rewarding part of your career?
To be appreciated for the efforts we put in.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
I hope to see myself on the ladder of success. InshaAllah.
If you weren’t a model, what would you be?
I think an actor.
What are the challenges you face being a model in our industry?
Where do I begin? There are so many but if you have a clean heart, the higher power gets you past those challenges.
How did you overcome those challenges?
Being true to myself. Never changing. No matter however many times anyone tries to get under my skin, just letting it go and allowing Allah to handle it.
How did you venture into modelling?
Since the age of 11, I’ve always wanted to be in front of the lights and cameras. It all started when I got signed to an agency in Florida in 2012 I believe.
What tips would you give to aspiring models?
To shoot as often as you can. Learn your angles, poses and expressions. Don’t fall in the trap of being lured into doing something just for fame.
Your definition of love?
That’s something that’s undefinable. It’s just something so unconditional. Pretty difficult to put into words, honestly.
Two models you’d want to be stuck in an elevator with?
Aqsa Shah and Abeer Rizvi.
If you could wear one designer for the rest of your life, who would it be?
Just give me a white-tee and some track pants and I’m good to go.
What is your idea of a perfect date?
I don’t think I have one. I like going with the flow. But, a good solid conversation is very necessary.
Your biggest pet peeve?
People who lie... Oh! And people who chew with their mouth open.
First thing you notice in the opposite gender?
Their teeth.
