Women attacked for asking motorist not to honk horn

The police have registered a case and started the investigation

ISLAMABAD:
Two women were allegedly attacked by four people when they asked them not to blow horns outside their home.

The incident was reported from the Dhok Mithu area in the precincts of Sihala police station on Saturday.

Muhammad Siddique informed the police that a car stopped by his house and the driver, Khurram, started honking irrelevantly. When he was forbidden to do so, Khurram along with his three accomplices got down from the car and broke into the house. They assaulted Siddique’s wife, Salma, and his daughter-in-law, and left them seriously injured.


The police have registered a case and started the investigation.

Separately, a cyclist on his way home died as a speeding bus ran over him on Kahuta Road on Saturday.

Pervaiz Khan informed Sahala police that his brother, Saleemullah, was riding his bicycle to home. Meanwhile, a speeding coaster struck him from behind and crushed him owing to which he died on the spot.
