Head constable shot dead by robbers

Police are searching for the accused in the case

SIALKOT:
A police head constable was shot dead by robbers while resisting a robbery attempt near Merajkey-Sabz Peer Road on Thursday morning.

Local senior police official revealed that Head Constable Mehboobul Hassan, who worked at the Sialkot Saddar police station, was going back home when four armed men intercepted him and tried to snatch Rs20,000 and his mobile phone from him. When the victim offered resistance they shot him dead.


The head constable’s funeral was held at the Sialkot Police Lines. Police are searching for the accused in the case.
