The organisers announced on Thursday that the three-day festival celebrations of Baba Chamliyal Sarkar in a border village have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Every year a festival is held in a far-off border village named Tulsipur-Charwah in June. Thousands of people flock to the locale to join the celebrations every year.
Moreover, the joint official wreath-laying ceremony by the Chenab Rangers and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was also cancelled owing to mounting border tensions between the two neighbouring countries.
