Four persons, including two brothers, were killed due to suffocation on Wednesday. Khaki Police Station Inspector Iftikhar said the two brothers, who were well diggers by profession, were hired by Dita Khan for removing sediments from a well, which was used for drinking water. The police said Naveed Khan became unconscious as he reached the bottom of the well and started clearing sediments. Upon getting no response from him, his brother Sair Khan went down to rescue him. However, he too fell unconscious due to suffocation. Later, two other persons, Muhammad Riaz and Arshad Iqbal, also went down to inquire about them. They too were suffocated to death, said the police. The bodies of all four people were taken out by local people and the police. The hospital sources confirmed that all of them had died due to lack of oxygen.
