Transparency international: TIP to continue fight against corruption
TIP will continue informing the authorities about corruption in government institutions.
ISLAMABAD:
Newly elected chairman of the Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) Suhail Muzaffar has said that TIP will continue informing the authorities about corruption in government institutions. Speaking to The Express Tribune at his office on Wednesday, he said that the TIP was unable to expand its organisation down to district levels due to a lack of funds. He said that only the process of accountability and documented transactions could stop corruption. The chairman also added that there are many other countries that have much more corruption than Pakistan. He said that TIP has nothing to do with politics and “we do not want to be entangled with the government over political issues”.
