Land Mafia: Encroachers get week’s notice
Officials concerned to retrieve the land of 22 government schools from illegal occupants in the district.

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rashid Mehmood, on Thursday, gave one week notice to the officials concerned to retrieve the land of 22 government schools from illegal occupants in the district. Spokesperson of the district coordination officer said that a serious notice was taken of the illegal occupation of schools and all assistant commissioners were ordered to ensure that the land is vacated within a week. During a meeting, the DCO urged the teachers to take part in the teacher training programmes so that they could contribute towards education more effectively. The DCO also took notice of the unavailability of medicines in the rural health centres and ordered the health officials to improve the situation.
