JHELUM: The locals of Jhelum have demanded the district administration to take strict action against vendors selling unhygienic and substandard juices on different roadsides across the city.

The citizens said that hundreds of vendors have set up stalls at different public spots across Jhelum where they sell unhygienic juices and substandard colourful drinks.

These unhealthy drinks are mostly consumed by the children and pedestrians to quench their thirst in the sweltering heat. Concerned citizens said that the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has turned a blind eye towards the sale of substandard and unhealthy drinks.

The locals demanded the administration to take strict notice of the issue as it has put thousands of lives at risk.
