FAISALABAD: A 45 year old man was killed with a sharp object in Nishatabad over a water dispute, while a landowner was shot and injured during the clash and shifted to a hospital in a critical condition.

Police registered a case against four accused, including the injured man, and started investigation.

The victim, Tahir Bashir, had a quarrel with Pervez and others in Chak No 8JB, Kamalpur Panjgraiya area of Nishatabad, over watering the fields from a canal.

During the clash, Bashir shot and injured Pervez, son of Sarwar.

The brothers of Pervez, named Sohail and Asad, came to the spot along with others and stabbed Bashir.

Both the injured were shifted to the Allied Hospital when Bashir succumbed to his injuries, while Pervez was admitted in a critical condition.

Police handed over the body of the deceased to his family after postmortem and registered a case against Asad and three other accused on the charges of murder and recorded the statement of his brother Pervez.
