Two suspects reportedly involved in Saddar blast held
Deemed as an act of terrorism, investigation of the blast was handed over to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD)
RAWALPINDI:
The law enforcement agencies on Wednesday claimed to have apprehended two suspects for their alleged involvement in the Saddar market blast that occurred last week.
The officials said that both suspects were staying at a local hotel near the railway station in the garrison city for the past several days.
The security agencies teams raided the hotel and arrested both suspects. They have been shifted to an unidentified location for investigation.
Earlier on June 12, a bomb explosion in the crowded Saddar market in the garrison city which killed one person and left 15 others injured. Properties around the incident site had also been badly damaged.

The initial investigation had suggested that the bomb was an improvised explosive device which was planted in an electric pole.
