Yasir Hussain livid at those selling plasma to Covid-19 patients
The actor has bashed those that are turning the current pandemic into a business opportunity
The past few weeks have seen the number of covid-19 cases in Pakistan rise exponentially, crossing over 150,000 marks. With the proportion of those requiring critical care increasing at an alarming rate , the demand for passive immunity through plasma therapy is also climbing as a result.
During all this, reports of the plasma of recovered corona patients being sold on the black market have started to surface. Naturally, the alleged practice has been condemned on social media with some public figures also calling out those that may be involved in it.
Actor Yasir Hussain is one such individual who, in an Instagram, story pointed out how such incidents aren’t being reported anywhere else in the world. “Dunya ke kissi kaafir ne plasma becha? (Did any infidel from across the world sell their plasma?),” he questioned.
Adding on, the Baandi star highlighted the irony of the situation, noting that such an abhorrent practice is taking place in a region where people often label those from other parts of the world as “infidels.” He continued, “Lekin hamary yahaan baqi dunya ko kafir kehnay wale plasma bech rahe hain (But here, people who call the entire world infidels are selling plasma).”
The Lahore Se Aagey actor concluded his message by asking, “Aisa kyun? (Why is it so?). Ya Allah rehem (May God have mercy on us).”
