Cricket: ‘Anderson close to being the best’
He is getting Sachin Tendulkar out for sweets these days says Steyn.
LONDON:
South Africa fast-bowler Dale Steyn may be sitting atop the Test bowling rankings for the past 18 months, but he believes that his position can now be challenged by England’s James Anderson, whose skilful display against Sri Lanka and India have seen him close the gap on Steyn at the top of the Test rankings.
“There are plenty of ways you measure the best bowler and on all of them he is up there,” said Steyn.
“He is getting Sachin Tendulkar out for sweets these days. That is the sign of a really good bowler, getting good batsmen out all the time. Does it make him the best? Maybe it does.”
