Police inspector dies of Covid-19

The CPO vowed that the district police would continue its role as front line force in the battle against coronavirus

RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi police inspector Yaseen Khan has embraced martyrdom while battling against the coronavirus.

He is survived by a widow, six children including three daughters and three sons.

Police officials said that Inspector Khan was undergoing treatment at the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology after contracting coronavirus.

As soon as the information broke, CPO Ahsan Younis and other police officials reached the RIU quarantine centre and offered condolences to the family of the deceased cop.

The funeral prayer of the deceased would be performed in his native town of Hazro in Attock district as per the SOPs.

The CPO vowed that the district police would continue its role as front line force in the battle against coronavirus and directed police officials to ensure use of face masks, gloves, sanitisers and follow other safety measures for their protection.
