Smart lockdowns come into force in Swat, Mardan

NDMA to provide 400 oxygen beds to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) hospitals

SWAT/MARDAN:
After alarming rise in Covid-19 cases and deaths caused by the virus, Swat and Mardan district administrations have imposed smart lockdown in several areas of the districts.

A notification issued by Swat district administration show that due to none-observances of the precautionary measures in the district and to curb the virus spread, the district administration has imposed smart lockdown in five tehsils including Bahrain, Matta, Babuzai, Bari Kot and Kabal.

Mardan district administration also imposed lockdown in Dosehra chowk, Janabad, Sector-A of Sheikmaltoon Town, Mazdoorabad area on Katlang road and tehsil road area in Katalng tehsil.


The Peshawar district administration on Monday had also imposed smart lockdown in several areas of the provincial capital.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said it will provide 400 oxygen beds to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) hospitals.

The NDMA Chairperson Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal said this during a visit to the Hayatabad Medical Complex in the provincial capital. K-P Health Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra and other officials were also present on the occasion.
