Syed Masood Hashmi elected MAP president for 12th term

Syed Masood Hashmi, the chief executive officer at Orient McCann, was elected unopposed the president of the Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP) at its 50th annual general meeting on Tuesday.

This is the 12th time Hashmi, recipient of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, has been elected as the president of the association.

He has also held the position of President of the International Advertising Association's Pakistan cahpter for two years, together with holding the chairmanship of Pakistan's Advertising Association.


Hashmi has also served as the president of Management Association of Pakistan for two years besides serving as the elected head of the Arts Council of Pakistan for three consecutive terms.

His father, late SH Hashmi, was pioneer of the advertising industry in Pakistan.

Other elected members include Vice President Imran Ahmad, Honorary Secretary Amer Pasha and Honorary Treasurer Ali Hasan Naqvi.

Elected council members include Mrs Shamsah Virani, Amer Pasha, Syed Talib Karim, Sikandar Sultan, SM Salahuddin.
