Police arrested two suspected members of a gang who are allegedly involved

ISLAMABAD:
The Karachi Company Police has arrested two people suspected to be involved in street crimes and recovered stolen mobile phones and weapons from their possession, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.

Following directions from Islamabad Police Inspector General (IGP) Aamir Zulfiqar to crackdown against criminal elements in the city, SP Saddar Sarfraz Virk constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Abid Akram along with Karachi Company SHO SI Saleem Raza and other officials.

They arrested two suspected members of a gang who are allegedly involved in snatching mobile phones and other valuables at gunpoint from residents.

The suspects were identified as Yasu Masih and Khazal, officers said, adding that they also recovered four stolen mobile phones and weapons from their possession.

Further, during the preliminary investigations, it was learnt that the suspects have a criminal record and have previously served time for criminal activity.
