‘Kitchen Gardening’ project kicks off in Pindi
Project will provide jobs to locals

As many as 50 households in Rawalpindi received steel-frame kitchen gardening racks as part of a ‘kitchen gardening’ project.
The project was launched on Wednesday by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), in collaboration with a Humanitarian Relief Foundation, Turkish NGO IHH-NL, and Pak Helpline.
The distribution ceremony was held at the RDA headquarters. Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul was the chief guest on the occasion.RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, RDA Director General (DG) Ammara Khan, Helpline General Secretary Akhlaqur Rehman, RDA Administration and Finance Director Khalid Goraya and other officers and officials of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) were present at the ceremony.
RDA Chief Murtaza thanked the Turkish envoy and the Turkish people for their financial support in helping launch the project. He added that the purpose of these small scale social projects was to provide jobs to people so that they can improve their standards of living while helping provide organic vegetables.
Turkish Ambassador Yurdakul said that Pakistan and Turkey are two brotherly countries enjoy a centuries-old relationship, adding that the Turkish people have a great love for Pakistani brethren.
