13 held in crackdown against drug pushers

As many as 13 suspects were arrested in the federal capital with drugs and liquor recovered from their possession, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Saddar Zone-SP Sarfraz Ahmed Virk constituted a special police team under the supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood along with Golra police station SHO SI Shabbir Ahmed, ASI Rana Saleem along with others. They arrested a suspected drug smuggler, identified as Gul Badeen, and recovered 17.375 kilogrammes of hashish from him.
Meanwhile, a police team also arrested two suspected drug peddlers, namely Noor Jehan and Raisat Ali, and recovered 2.3 kilogrammes of heroin from their possession.
The Tarnol police arrested Arslan and recovered 450 grammes of hashish from him. The Shalimar police arrested Faisal Mehmood and recovered 150 grammes of hashish from him.
In the City Zone, the Aabpara police arrested four suspects including Anwar Masih, Naseem Masih, Waheed Masih and Saneel Masih. Around 2.25 kilogrammes of hashish, 320 grammes of heroin and 25 litres of liquor were recovered from their possession.
