Peshawar to get school for minorities
CM’s aide assures quota in jobs, educational institutions being implemented
PESHAWAR:
The provincial government has begun construction on a community school for minorities in the provincial capital.
Special Assistant to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister on Minority Affairs Wazir Zada along with MPA Ranjeet Singh on Tuesday inaugurated work on the three-story community school building.
Zada said that the school will be constructed for an estimated cost of Rs23 million.
The special assistant said that the provincial government is working for the welfare of minorities.
About the school, he said that It was not just a building, rather a symbol of the bright future for minorities in the country.
He assured that the quota reserved for minorities in government jobs and educational institutions is being implemented. Moreover, Zada said that the minority affairs department was working for the reservation of a quota for minorities in housing schemes adding that problems of minorities are being resolved on priority.
The special assistant further said that CM Mahmood Khan believes in the development of minorities in the true sense and per his directives, the entire government machinery is working on a comprehensive plan to improve the lives of minorities in the province.
