“No one can be allowed to break the law in the city. Petrol is not being sold like this anywhere. If such a thing is found at any petrol pump, we will take strict legal action against profiteers and seal these petrol pumps,” he said in a Twitter message.
Badini said in Quetta petrol is not being sold at a price higher than the one fixed by the government and there is no petrol pump where petrol other than high octane is being sold at a price of Rs150 per liter.
He said some social media posts painted an incorrect picture about scarcity of petrol in the city. Therefore, it has become important for the authenticities to highlight the facts, he added.
“Yesterday, samples of petrol were taken from various petrol pumps in Quetta to ensure that the pumps were not selling ordinary petrol under the guise of high quality petrol,” Badini said.
