‘Kashmir Bridge nearing completion’

Mega project constructed at a cost of Rs1.28 billion

FAISALABAD:
The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Muhammad Suhail Khawaja has said that 70% construction work had been completed of Kashmir bridge underpass mega project with total cost of Rs1.28 billion.

He informed this during a meeting with MNA Ch Faizullah Kamoka at his office on Saturday. The DG added that the Kashmir bridge underpass project would be completed by three months.

He further said that necessary measures were being taken to resolve the issues of the people during the construction process. He highlighted, “Western part would be temporarily opened within three days after removing rainwater and clearing mud.”


He briefed that steps had also been taken to control environmental pollution surrounding the project. The DG apprised of the details of the proposed development projects of Faisalabad Ring Road, Expressway and Techno Park and stated that WASA services were also being improved.

He asked the MNA to extend support for getting the remaining funds of the Kashmir bridge underpass. The MNA said that public welfare and city development projects were being given priority by the government.

He added that Faisalabad would be given a new look of development during the period of the incumbent government.
