Dismembered corpse recovered in Raiwind

The remains of an unidentified body were spotted in Raiwind on Friday.

A passerby spotted these in the fields of Jia Bagga. Nearby residents gathered at the spot and also informed the police. A few weeks back, the amputated legs of a woman were recovered from trash.

A police team reached the spot after receiving information and took the remains to the morgue for autopsy.

They also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eye-witnesses.

Sources revealed that the body seemed to be old and decomposed and was not able to be identified. The body was also devoured by animals.

Police tried to ascertain the identity of the victim by making announcements nearby. However, the body was not identified.

Police have been investigating the cause and motive behind death. The incident created panic among the public.


Few days back, two amputated legs of a woman were found by sanitary workers in garbage in Nishtar Colony.

Nishtar Colony police took the amputated legs into custody and started investigation regarding the mysterious incident.

Police said they were informed by city district government staff about the legs of a person dumped in Saroba Garden when they were emptying a container full of garbage into their vehicle.

Upon the gruesome discovery, they immediately reported the details to Nishtar Colony police.

A heavy contingent of police reached the spot to collect evidence from the scene.

Police have been trying to investigate both the cases using their investigation techniques as well as technology.
