LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday directed the district courts of the province to decide all pending family cases and civil matters before the summer vacations for the year begin.

The LHC issued a letter to all district and sessions judges for expeditious disposal of the cases.

“All the family cases filed prior to the January 1, 2020 must be decided by the courts before proceeding for summer vacation,” the letter read.

It was further stated that all the pending civil appeals and revisions filed before the date must be decided by the courts within six weeks.

In order to achieve the designated target, all the district and sessions judges have been asked to rationalise the pendency of the appeals in their districts.

Meanwhile, the LHC also issued a circular whereby all the members of the establishment of Lahore High Court, officials serving at the principal seat as well as the allied benches were directed to submit their annual declaration of income, assets and expenses for the financial year 2019-20 on the prescribed proforma.

The personnel have been directed to duly show details of immovable and movable assets held by them and their family along with bank statements and other related documents as evidence.
