MWMC workers receive safety gear
Staff advised to use wash hands after end of work
MULTAN:
The Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) administration in ongoing efforts to ensure safety of its staff amid the coronavirus pandemic has distributed masks, soaps and gloves among the sanitary workers.
MWMC Managing Director Nasir Shahzad Dogar said that safety gear was being distributed among the 2,000 company employees to enable them to work safely during field duty.
The staff was advised to wash hands with soap after the end of work and ensure social distancing for their wellbeing. “We are proud of our sanitary workers who have served over 900 coronavirus infected patients at the quarantines centres and none of them contracted the virus,” Nasir said.
He added that this had been possible due to safety initiatives.
