KARACHI:
Pakistan’s junior hockey team has left for Egypt to play a five-match series against the hosts in Cairo starting August 6. Umer Bhutta will be leading the side against the Egyptians while Mohammad Rizwan will be his deputy.
The team’s manager and chief coach Rana Mujahid said that the tour will give an opportunity to the youngsters to gain international exposure. “The Pakistan Hockey Federation wants to give as much experience to the youngsters as possible by playing abroad,” said the Olympian. “It will give them good exposure and the series will prove to be beneficial for other international events.”
