MULTAN: Nishtar Medical University and Hospital administration has relocated most of the outpatients departments to university halls and banned entry into its premises without a mask.

As part of decisions regarding coronavirus management, the use of masks has become mandatory for patients, their relatives, and the parking, canteen and medical staff.

A meeting of all ward heads was held under the leadership of the principal of Nishtar Medical College in which representatives of doctors, nurses, and paramedics’ staff also participated.

However, the step of shifting outdoor departments to the main building was criticized by medical organisations due to the increase in patients and violations of SOPs.

It was decided most of the departments of OPD would be shifted to university halls while masks were declared essential for families of all patients as well as all the medical and administrative staff.
