Two alleged robbers arrested after encounter

FAISALABAD: Police claimed to have arrested two alleged robbers, while two others managed to escape after an encounter in the area of Saddar police station on Monday.

Police said four armed robbers snatched cash and motorcycle from a citizen near Jaranwala road bypass late night. The victim informed the police on helpline Rescue 15.

On getting information, officials of the elite force reached the spot and directed the outlaws to surrender but the accused opened indiscriminate fire and managed to flee from the scene.

Police retaliated and during this crossfire, two robbers suffered bullet injuries and fell on the ground while their two accomplices managed to escape from the scene under the cover of darkness.
