Karachi violence: Peace to be restored at all costs, says Malik
MQM chief Altaf Hussain calls on people of Karachi to ration food for a month.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said peace in Karachi will be restored at all costs and stern action will be taken against those involved in target killings, Express 24/7 reported on Wednesday.
Malik was speaking to the media after a meeting at the Crisis Management Cell in Karachi. The meeting, which discussed the situation in the city, was attended by Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Intepector General Sindh, Acting Director General Rangers and other high-ranking officials.

The interior minister, who was leaving for Islamabad, acknowledged Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain’s reservations and said action was being taken to restore peace in the city.
He said a number of people had been arrested and weapons recovered from the city.
