ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to reopen the administrative offices of all federal government educational institutions in the federal capital from June 1.

Directions issued from the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) - which regulates 423 government-run educational institutions in the federal capital - director-general further directed the heads of federal educational institutions to ensure the attendance of relevant, non-teaching staff once the offices open.

The orders were issued to keep educational institutions clean during the prevailing novel coronavirus (Covid-19) situation.

Administration staff has been further ordered to remain present. All Area Education Officers (AEOs) have been directed to implement them. Earlier, non-teaching staff of these educational institutions had been exempted from regular attendance to prevent the spread of the virus.
