My goal is to be one of the richest people in India: Kangana Ranaut

The actor discussed how being judged inspired her to change her ambitions in life

It's no secret that Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut started off with nothing. After running away from home with only INR1,500 in her pocket, she battled against all odds and created an empire of her own.

But among those battles was one she never spoke off until now. In a recent interview, the Manikarnika actor revealed how aside from making fun of her looks, her accent and mannerisms, people also felt that she was a 'gold digger from a small town’, reported Pinkvilla

Kangana then went on to discuss how that particular taunt altered the course her life. "To be honest, I never thought I'd come this far. I never had materialistic ambitions. But it started off when I saw how women are judged for not going after material ambitions. Men are running this race," she said.

"Being a woman, I don't think about money. But am I looked like that from an outer perspective? That I'm a gold digger from a small town? This is something that has been so obnoxiously told to me and it changed the course of my life," confessed the Queen star.

She explained how then life became about material things since she figured that she will never be given a fair chance in the society. "So now, I have another goal: to be one of the richest people in India by the age of 50."

Kangana also opened doors to her new plush bungalow office space located in the heart of Mumbai. She has invested INR480 million on buying and completely remodeling the premises.
