10 suspects held in raids

Those arrested include two alleged drug peddlers, three suspected robbers

KARACHI:
Law enforcement personnel claimed to have arrested 10 suspects in separate raids on Tuesday night.

The Hijrat Colony police claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers, identified as Bakht Muneer and Bakht Aman, and seized large amounts of drugs from their possession. Later, more drugs were found from other locations on the indication of the arrested, according to the police.

Meanwhile, the PIB Colony police caught a man suspected of looting a citizen on University Road. The police claimed to have recovered stolen cash and a mobile phone from the possession of the suspect, identified as Waqas.

According to the police, Waqas was apprehended after a chase by a police party, which was informed of the robbery by the looted citizen while patrolling the area.


Separately, another two suspected robbers, identified as Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Ahmed, were held by the Sohrab Goth police. The police said that they had recovered a stolen motorcycle on the indication of the arrested suspects.

Qadir and Ahmed are said to be involved in multiple house robberies and street crimes.

Moreover, law enforcement personnel carried out a raid in Quaidabad near Hub River Road, after they received information of the presence of suspected criminals in the area. They arrested five suspects in the raid and shifted them to an unidentified location for interrogation.
