Chief minister vows uniform development of all areas
Claims problems of far-flung areas multiplied due to wrong priorities of previous governments
DERA GHAZI KHAN:
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Tuesday that the government is pursuing the policy of balanced development of every area.
The chief minister visited the area of Barthi on the third day of Eid and met tribal leaders and locals at Buzdar House.
The chief minister also went to the grave of his father Sardar Fateh Muhammad. He later visited Katchiwanga and condoled with family members over the demise of Malik Ahmed Khan. He prayed with the family for the departed soul.
CM Buzdar approves Punjab economic revival plan
Later, the CM performed Dastarbandi of the son of late Malik Ahmed Khan. He said he was with the people of the area on the occasion of Eid. “Former rulers completely neglected the backward areas of the province.”
The problems of far-flung areas had increased over the years due to the wrong priorities of former governments, he further said. “Self-obsessed leaders launched the projects for their own interests and not those of the common man.”
The people of underprivileged areas did not get any benefit from these projects and national resources were wasted, he remarked. “The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government has focused on fulfilling the needs of the people. We are pursuing the policy of equal and balanced development of every area.” The chief minister claimed that his relations with the people had further strengthened. “Public service is in my blood.”
Usman Buzdar urges legislators to monitor relief measures
The CM maintained that he is determined to change the destiny of the people of the province. He said that the PTI-led government did not betray the people and every citizen of Punjab was valued by the CM like the people of Barthi. “I can understand the problems of the people and I will not break my relations with them.”
He commented that no one knows the backwardness and deprivations of the underprivileged areas better than him.
While speaking on the occasion, a local resident said that the chief minister was a public leader in the true sense and people-friendly like his father.
