K-P cancels official Eid gatherings in respect of air tragedy
Eid will be celebrated with utmost simplicity
PESHAWAR:
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will celebrate Eidul Fitr with simplicity this year, said Chief Minister’s Adviser on Information Ajmal Khan Wazir. Expressing deep sorrow over the Karachi plane crash, he said that Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and the entire provincial government are saddened by this national tragedy.
Talking to media at the Civil Secretariat Wazir said that due to coronavirus outbreak and Karachi plane crash Eid will be celebrated in a sombre manner.
He said that Eid will be celebrated with utmost simplicity in the memory of those who were martyred in the tragedy due to the plane crash. "At the government level, no official gatherings will be held on the occasion of Eid, we also appeal the people to avoid unnecessary gatherings on this Eid and stay at home," he added.
