Sarwar promises action against elements involved in corruption, injustice

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said on Friday that the law would take its due course against those found guilty in the Sugar Scandal Forensic Report.

The governor cherished that despite allegations by the opposition that the government would not make the Sugar Scandal Forensic Report public, the prime minister fulfilled his promise and did not offer reprieve to looters.

Sarwar said the government was committed to purge Pakistan from corruption, extremism and injustice.

Sugar barons’ web of deceit unravelled

During the coronavirus pandemic, Sarwar said the Punjab Development Network (PDN) provided ration to over a million poor families.

He expressed these views while distributing ration among 1,000 underprivileged families, inauguration of Sarwar Foundation Filtration Plant and foundation laying ceremony of a Hunergah.

The wife of Punjab governor Begum Perveen Sarwar, Punjab government spokesperson Raja Asad Iqbal, Punjab government's social media focal person Mian Anas Aslam Dolla and others were present on the occasion.

Growers welcome sugar commission report

Talking to the media, Perveen Sarwar said that Sarwar Foundation had distributed ration among 20,000 poor families and was installing filtration plants to provide clean drinking water to people in the country.
