The provincial government had released more than 85 per cent of funds earmarked for developmental schemes in the local government sector during the ongoing financial year 2019-20, compared to 64 per cent expenditure of the released funds during the last financial year.
This was disclosed as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan chaired a meeting on Thursday regarding the formulation of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the financial year 2020-21. Various proposed developmental schemes of the local government and irrigation sectors to be included in the new ADP were reviewed.
The meeting also reviewed the progress made so far in implementing developmental schemes of the ongoing ADP in these sectors.
Mahmood was told that more than 85 per cent of the released funds for various developmental schemes of the sector have been utilised.
