Police investigation team in Shahdara claimed to have arrested a man for hiring a hitman to kill his brother

A police investigation team in Shahdara claimed to have arrested a man on Thursday for hiring a hitman to kill his brother.
The victim, identified as Javed, was shot dead in Shahdara. Police said the victim’s family, including his brother Ali Hassan who gave the ‘job’ to the hired gun, had registered a murder case against their opponents. Hassan had also been staging protests for justice and arrest of the suspected murderers of his brother.
Police had included Hassan in the investigations also. During interrogation, it transpired that the complainant of the case, Hassan, himself was involved in the killing of his brother. He paid Rs200,000 to a hitman for the murder of his brother. The accused revealed that a property dispute between the two brothers was the main reason behind the murder and he wanted to get hold of his brother’s share.
He had registered a case against the opponents to divert the attention of police and relatives. In another incident of abduction for ransom, the suspects turned out to be jail mates who had befriended the victims a few months back.
The owner of a travel agency, Malik Muhammad Imran, was abducted. The abductors had demanded Rs4 million for his release. Police registered a case and started searching for the suspects.
