Police arrest 20 suspects in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:
Police on Monday claimed to have arrested as many as 20 suspects, including alleged bike thieves and drug peddlers.

According to a statement issued by the Islamabad Police on Monday, personnel of various precincts also recovered stolen motorbikes, hashish, liquor, crystal methamphetamine (also known as ice) and weapons from the suspects.

Tarnol police station SHO ASI Saqib along with other officials arrested an alleged bike thief, identified as Muhammad Shahzad, and recovered a stolen motorbike from him. Tarnol police also arrested a bootlegger identified as Amjad and recovered 84 litres of homemade liquor from him.


Meanwhile, the Secretariat police arrested two suspects, Pervez Kiyani and Faisal Hussain, and recovered a 9mm pistol and 120 grammes of hashish from them. The Kohsar police arrested Ghaniur Rehman and recovered 210 grammes of hashish from him.
