Red Crescent suspends operations at cardiac facility
Move made to lessen financial burden
HYDERABAD:
The Red Crescent partially suspended operations at its cardiac facility in Latifabad on Monday out of fear of a virus outbreak.
“The Hyderabad Red Crescent has decided to suspend services at the male and female wards of the cardiac hospital from May 18 to ensure safety and to lessen the financial burden,” reads the official order. The hospital’s diagnostic and emergency units will remain open.
The staff members of the cardiac units have been sent on unpaid leave with the assurance that they will be called back once operations resume. They will receive half a month’s salary for May.
