‘Comprehensive strategy needed to combat virus’
CM Kamal lays stress on need to develop and increase resources

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has said a comprehensive strategy is needed to combat the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on the provincial economy.
“We have to secure our financial assets and resources and take steps to develop and increase our resources,” he said while presiding over a meeting at the CM Secretariat through video link to discuss impact of coronavirus. The meeting discussed matters relating to financial and development sectors and the next financial year’s budget.
Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Rehman Buzdar and Finance Secretary Noorul Haq Baloch gave a detailed briefing to the meeting on the development and non-development sectors and the funds required for them in next fiscal year’s budget.
The meeting hailed release of funds from the beginning of the fiscal year and noted that the initiative helped in meeting the development schemes requirements.
The chief minister while issuing guidelines for preparation of the next financial year’s budget directed the authorities concerned to include those projects in the budget which generate income, create job opportunities and develop natural resources.
