‘Accountability watchdogs working independently’
PTI-led govt hasn't instituted any case against any opposition political party’s leadership, says Punjab governor

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government was taking all decisions in consultation with its allied parties, including Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
He expressed these views while speaking at the inauguration of Coronavirus Testing Lab in ABWA Hospital and handing over of ration to PTI MNA Riaz Fatiana, by Sarwar Foundation, on Saturday.
Sarwar Foundation Vice Chairperson Begum Perveen Sarwar, ABWA Hospital MD Khurram Iftikhar, businessman Junaid Subhani, Overseas Pakistanis Commission Vice Chairman Muhammad Waseem Ramay and others were present on the occasion.
The governor added that the PTI-led government had not instituted any case against any opposition political party’s leadership. All cases being preceded by the NAB and accountability institutions were actually instituted by the opposition parties against each other.”
We believe in transparent and across the board accountability and ensured that all accountability institutions should stay apolitical, he claimed.
