Siren, revolving lights and police caps recovered from their vehicle
ISLAMABAD:
The Tarnol police have arrested two people for allegedly impersonating police officers. Revolving lights, siren and caps were recovered from them, a police spokesperson said on Friday
Another six outlaws were arrested in the city as well, recovering weapons, drugs and liquor from them.
The official said that a police squad, under the supervision of DSP Khalid Awan and headed by Tarnol police station SHO Inspector Arshad Ali, along with ASI Muhammad Ishaq and other officials were conducting snap checking at Chungi 26 when it stopped a car (bearing registration number: BCN-425) for checking.
The police team recovered revolving lights as those used by the police, siren and caps from the vehicle. Thereafter the two occupants of the vehicle, identified as Safiullah and Ahmed Kamal, residents of Karachi, were arrested.
Separately, the Tarnol police arrested Sahil Khan and recovered an unlicenced 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from his possession.
Elsewhere, during a crackdown against criminal elements, Industrial Area ASP Zohaib Nasrullah Ranjha, along with SHO Mian Khurram Shahzad and other officers arrested a bootlegger, identified as Asif Maqsood, and recovered 90 litres of liquor from him. The Bhara Kahu police arrested Zohaib Mushtaq and recovered an unlicenced 30 bore pistol with ammunition from him.
The Ramana police recovered 180 grammes of hashish from a suspected drug peddler Khalid. Similarly, the Shams Colony police recovered 115 grammes of hashish from a suspected drug pusher, identified as Tariq Mehmood.
