May 13 deadline set for submitting AIOU assignments

ISLAMABAD: The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) announced on Tuesday that the last day for submitting academic assignments for post-graduate programmes was May 13 (Wednesday).

Earlier, the last date for submitting assignments was set as April 27. However,  students were given extra time for accomplishing their academic work in view of the countrywide lockdown, imposed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

Students of bachelors of arts (BA), bachelors of sciences (BSc), bachelors of education (BEd), masters in arts (MA), masters in sciences (MSc) and other postgraduate programmes have been advised to submit their assignments for the autumn 2019 semester by the deadline. Further, all regional heads of the university are required to ensure collection of completed, punched results before May 20, said AIOU Director Admissions Mian Riaz.

The timely submission of assignments will enable the university to prepare the result of the respective programmes according to the annual calendar approved by the academic council, he added.
