Policeman apprehended for bribery

The Rizvia police arrested a police official, deputed at the same police station, on allegations of bribery and providing patronage to criminals. According to Rizvia SHO Muzaffar Siddiqui, the arrested police officer, Aqeel Ahmed, had been suspended by the West DIG for providing patronage to criminals and taking bribes from shopkeepers in exchange for allowing them to conduct business activities during the lockdown. A case has been registered against Ahmed.
