Mubariz victorious in Faldo Series
Raza wins girls’ event, Ghani dominates boys’ under-21 competition.

Talented teenager Mubariz Ahmed finished as overall winner of the inaugural edition of the Faldo Series Asia-Pakistan that concluded yesterday at the Karachi Golf Club.
The 15-year old golfer from Karachi, dubbed as the future national champion, finished with the overall best card of 234 after three days of action, to win the boys under-16 title.
Meanwhile, Ghufran Ghani, who dominated the boys’ under-21 event from day one, finished on top with 237 points in the event, while Sameer Merchant won the boys under-18 competition with a card of 237.
The girls’ event saw Kashfa Raza claiming the top spot with 267 points followed by Nusmiya Sukhera with a card of 268.
The top finishers of all the four events have confirmed their berths in the Asian grand finals to be held in Mission Hills, China next year.
