Police officials 'beat up' two men

Two men were allegedly beaten and injured by Aram Bagh police officials outside the CTO Compound at II Chundrigar Road on Sunday night.
Some men had reportedly been sitting outside the compound when police officials arrived and told them to leave.
This soon turned into a heated argument, upon which the officials began beating the citizens. As a result, two citizens, Zohaib and Ziauddin, were injured.
The officials then fled while their armed colleagues began shooting their weapons into the air. A heavy contingent of police and Rangers arrived at the scene after receiving a complaint, but no arrests had been made till the filing of this report.
The affected citizens claimed that the accused officials are their relatives, while Aram Bagh SHO Pawan Kumar said that they were residents of Police Lines, adding that legal action would be taken against the officials after investigation.
