Last 2 years have been like quarantine for me: Sonali Bendre

The actor talks cancer in times of corona

Sonali Bendre claims the global lockdown hasn’t affected her much as she has been spending most of her time indoors ever since she was diagnosed with cancer back in 2018 anyway.

But the 90s superstar admitted to SpotBoye that she does miss all the friends and family who would visit her before the pandemic hit.

“I’m doing well right now, actually. I would say it hasn’t been much of a change for me because the last two years have been sort of like quarantine for me, anyway. But I would have a lot of visitors coming and going. That’s the part that I miss the most,” she said. “Above all, I’m missing my parents right now because I can’t really meet them. But other than that, we have lots to be thankful for. I always count my blessings.”

Bendre added that she is at a higher risk of catching coronavirus as her immunity has been compromised by the cancer, detailing the healthy fruits and vegetable she eats daily to keep herself healthy.

The Kal Ho Naa Ho starlet recently shared a throwback picture of herself and revealed the advice she would give to her 20-year-old self. “If I could go back and say something to the 20-year-old me, it would be to never lose hope and remember to switch on the sunshine,” she said.
