KARACHI:

A case of blasphemy was registered at the Arambagh police station against at least four people, including a woman, for allegedly printing objectionable content on Friday.

SP Naeem Sheikh told The Express Tribune that a group of people came out of a mosque after Friday prayers and began protesting against the owners of a printing press near Fresco Chowk on Burns road.

They alleged that the printing press was distributing anti-Islam literature and was inciting hatred.

DIG South Commander Shaukat said that blasphemy cases were rare in the city and only once the investigation was complete could they say for sure whether it was indeed a genuine case or just an attempt by some people to blame one sect.
