Covid-19: PM Imran saddened by death of countless Pakistani expats
He wished a speedy recovery to those battling the virus

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said he was saddened to hear about the countless Pakistanis living abroad who have fallen victim to the novel coronavirus.
Expressing his concern over Twitter, the prime minister offered his condolences to the families of the deceased.
He said many of the victims served on the frontlines against the deadly virus.
"I am saddened by the news of the death of countless Pakistanis living & working abroad who have fallen victim to the COVID19. Many died while serving in the frontline of the global war," he wrote.
The premier also wished a speedy recovery to those battling the virus, and said Pakistan will never forget all those citizens living in different countries and playing a critical role in Pakistan's development through remittances and charity work.
"We can never forget all of you far away from Pak who continue to do us proud & are our greatest asset," he added.

At least 80 Pakistanis were earlier reported to have died of Covid-19 in New York City.
Sources in the Pakistan consulate in New York confirmed the figures of more than 80 deaths, but said the final figure would be announced by local administration once the situation was over.
Speaking to media, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Asad Majeed Khan said it is difficult for them to give the total number of the death toll of Pakistanis living in various states of the country.
