Disinfecting tunnel installed at PINS

A disinfecting tunnel system was installed at the main entrance of the Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS) on Monday.
“Our priority is to protect doctors, nurses and other medical staff along with the patients and their attendants,” PINS Executive Director Dr Khalid Mahmood said while addressing the inaugural function of the tunnel.
He further said that it is important that everyone who enters the institution is sanitised to protect them from the ongoing pandemic.
The disinfecting tunnel system has been installed without monetary assistance of the government, he added.

“This is the first sanitising facility arranged at a government hospital in the provincial capital. The system was built through financial assistance provided by philanthropists and civil society organisations.”
Professor Khalid Mahmood said all available resources are being utilised to provide the best treatment to the people.
The executive director said extremely positive results of the lockdown have been witnessed in Punjab and Pakistan will be able to overcome the outbreak very soon.
PINS Medical Superintendent Dr Ali Razzaq, Additional MS Dr Shahid Mehmood and other senior doctors were also present at the ceremony.
