Two killed in attacks after children’s quarrels
Millat Town, Sahiwala police register cases against attackers
FAISALABAD:
Two people were killed and three others injured in attacks triggered by quarrels between children on Monday.
The children of Manzoor and Liaquat had a fight in Chak No 197-RB, Bhagewala, in the area of Millat Town police station. A local panchayat settled the matter but Liaquat did not agree. He, along with his brother Imdad Hussain, Sualeh Amin, Amir, Zeeshan alias Shaani and Ijaz attacked Afzal Ikram and his brother Mohammad Amjad with sticks.
The victims were shifted to a hospital but Afzal succumbed to his injuries on the way, while Amjad's condition is reported to be out of danger.
In the second incident, there was a fight between Arif and Murtaza's children in Chak No 142-RB, area of Sahiwala police station.
After the incident, Arif, along with his accomplices Asif and Adnan opened fire on Murtaza, Iftikhar and Ashfaq. As a result of the attack, Iftikhar was killed on the spot, while his brother Murtaza and Ashfaq were shifted to Allied Hospital where their condition is said to be critical. Police handed over the bodies to the families of the victims after postmortem and registered cases against the attackers.
